Offensive line recruiting update

We saved the best for last—the big boys.

Let’s start with the biggest man of all, 6’7” – 315-pound offensive tackle Bennett Warren. The composite 4-star tackle from Fort Bend Christian Academy in Sugarland, TX, is the Sooners’ top offensive line target. Hopefully, he will be the next great addition to O-Line-U. Warren has elite athleticism for an offensive lineman and displays a mean streak on film. It is a three-way race for Warren’s services between the Sooners, Michigan, and the Oregon Ducks. Warren has an official visit planned with the Sooners in July; look for them to keep the recruitment ramped up for the duration of the Spring and Summer. Warren’s recruitment is a top priority for the Sooners.

Next up is also featured in the picture above, offensive tackle Grant Brix. Brix is a 6’6” – 285-pound offensive tackle from Logan, Iowa. The composite 4-star tackle has the Sooners listed in his top 4, which is critically important for the Sooners to maintain. Brix would be an excellent addition alongside Bennett Warren in Coach Bedenbaugh’s offensive line room. Watch for this physical lineman to make an official to the Sooners in the Summer.

Casey Poe is a composite 4-star offensive lineman from Lindale, TX. The interior lineman would likely project as a guard or center at the collegiate level. He plays with immense physicality and a high level of athleticism. Poe has the Sooners in his top 4 alongside Alabama, TCU, and Texas A&M. Poe will be in town for the Spring game; look for the Sooners to roll out the red carpet for this interior stud.

Tupelo, MS giant Isaiah Autry is another offensive lineman leaning towards becoming a Sooner. This young man is violent. Autry displays immense finishing ability and a solid technique in run blocking. Autry is a composite 3-star recruit with the Sooners in his top list of schools. Many experts feel Autry is close to ending his recruitment with a verbal commitment to the Sooners. We hope to start prepping this young man’s commitment article soon because he’d be a fantastic addition to O-Line-U.

The final recruit update is for Tampa Catholic’s Eddy Pierre-Louis. This 6’3” – 335-pound lineman has crazy athleticism for a man his size. He’s quick on his feet and displays extremely violent hands in pass protection. Pierre-Louis plays like a Sooner lineman already. His recruitment is a top priority for Coach Jeff Lebby and Coach Bedenbaugh. Out of all of the potential recruits, Pierre-Louis may be one of the most college ready. That’s a rare statement for an interior offensive lineman, but he’s that good. Davin Joseph vibes…
