Oklahoma Football: Defensive recruiting update during Spring game week

The Oklahoma Football schedule is coming to a vital point in the annual timeline. With the NCAA transfer portal wide open, the Spring game looming, and the recruiting season heating up, the Sooners coaching staff have their hands full. The good news? The Sooners are in competitive positions with several of the nation’s top recruits. These players listed below are the at the top of the Sooners defensive recruiting boards. This is the defensive recruiting update for the Spring’s final week of practice.
Currently, the Sooners 2024 recruiting class has two verbal commitments; QB Michael Hawkins and DB Jeremiah Newcombe. The class ranks 48th nationally, but there’s little reason to be concerned… yet.
