2 – Derrick Strait – 2000 – vs. (1) Nebraska
Before a former Texas quarterback declared “we’re baaaaack” on a microphone to a national audience, All-World Sooner cornerback Derrick Strait did it with a pick-six against number 1 ranked Nebraska on Owen Field.
The Sooners started this game down 14 points to the traditional kings of the Big 12. However, with a methodical Josh Heupel drive and this Derrick Strait pick-six, the Sooners came back, not only to beat Lil’ Red, but all the way back to the top of the polls.
