CeeDee is regarded as one of the most impactful Sooner playmakers ever. As a recruit, CeeDee was a composite 4-star wide receiver after finishing his senior season at Foster high school (Richmond, Texas) with the fourth-highest amount of receiving yards in Texas high school football history, according to 247Sports.

The scribes had to bust out the record books when CeeDee got to Norman. According to SoonerSports.com, he ranks 1st in school history in receptions made over 40 yards (24), 2nd in career receiving touchdowns (32), 3rd in career receiving yards (3,292), 3rd in career 100-yard receiving games (14), and 1st in career receiving yard average per catch (19.0).

CeeDee was a second-team All-Big 12 selection in 2018, a first-team All-Big 12 selection in 2019, and a unanimous first-team All-American in 2019. In the 2020 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys selected him 17th overall and blessed him with the coveted ’88’ jersey. In his short NFL career, CeeDee has quickly ascended to the top of the NFL’s receiver list.

So far, CeeDee has amassed 260 receptions, 3,396 yards, 205 rushing yards, and 22 total touchdowns. He finished his rookie year second among rookies in receptions behind LSU standout Jamar Chase. Following the 2022 season, CeeDee was selected for his first All-Pro honor and second consecutive Pro Bowl. He is one of the main reasons that OU’s football program has kept statue makers on speed dial, as he was the primary target for Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts during his time in the Crimson and Cream. Like Creed Humphrey, CeeDee has the potential to climb this list as time goes on because he is just now entering his professional prime.
