Behind a 20-point performance from senior Liz Scott, the Oklahoma basketball women cruised to an 85-68 road win at Kansas State on Sunday.

The victory, the Sooners’ 20th overall and 10th in Big 12 play allowed Oklahoma to remain within a game of league leader Texas. Sixteenth-ranked Oklahoma (20-4, 10-3) and 20th-ranked Texas will meet on Feb. 25 in Norman.

Scott led the way with a season-high 20 points and eight rebounds, and Madi Williams contributed 16 points, four rebounds and five assists.

Gabby Gregory led Kansas State with a game-high 24 points.

The Lady Sooners led 20-15 after the first 10 minutes but opened up a 42-25 advantage going into halftime. Kansas State made just two field goals and five free throws and shot just 14 percent in the second quarter as OU took control of the game.

The 17-point win was the largest victory margin by a Sooner women’s team in Manhattan in the Big 12 era. It also extended the current OU win streak to four games.

Oklahoma is back in action Wednesday night at home against Texas Tech (16-9, 4-8).
