Oklahoma basketball senior Madi Williams has another giant week last week, and on Monday this week she was honored as Big 12 Player of the Week.
Williams was instrumental in the Sooners’ blowout 93-66 blowout road win at TCU and a comeback four-point victory over in-state rival Oklahoma State.
The Sooner scoring leader averaged 22.5 points in the two games last week on sizzling 63-percent shooting. She had 19 points in the win over TCU and 26 in the win over Oklahoma State, 17 coming in the second half.

Through 18 games, Williams is averaging 16.2 points 6.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game for the Big 12 leaders and 15th-ranked Lady Sooners.
Williams joins Darianna Littlepage-Buggs of Baylor as Big 12 honorees this week. Littlepage-Buggs is the Freshman of the Week in the conference.
A native of Ft. Worth, Texas, Williams is a two-time unanimous All Big 12 First-Team selection (2021 and 2022). In five seasons at OU, she has averaged 16.5 points a game. Her best season was her junior year in 2021-22 when she averaged 20.3 points a game, third best in the Big 12 and 30th nationally.
This is the second time this season and the fifth time in her Oklahoma career that Williams has been named Big 12 Player of the Week.
Williams will lead the 16-2 and 14th-ranked Sooners (12th in the Coaches Poll) as they face the second=place Texas Longhorns on Wednesday night in Austin.
