Oklahoma women’s basketball got the best out of two of its best on Wednesday night as the Sooners made it a clean sweep of Florida in the Jumpman Invitational with a convincing 95-79 win.
Seniors Madi Williams and Taylor Robertson combined for 40 points — 22 by Williams and 18 by Robertson — in leading the Sooners to their sixth consecutive win and 10th in 11 games this season. Williams also pulled down 11 rebounds. The double-double was the 25th of her career.
Over 19,000 fans were in attendance at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, home of the NBA Charlotte Hornets, for the second day of the inaugural Jumpman Invitational. The Oklahoma men defeated Florida 62-53 on Tuesday night.
The Lady Sooners raced out to a 21-9 advantage at the end of the first quarter and widened the margin to 43-23 by halftime.
Robertson knocked down six three-pointers in seven attempts. Her six three-pointers broke the NCAA record for most games with at least five three-pointers in a game. She now has 40 such games in her career.
Oklahoma also got excellent production from Neveah Tot, with 12 points, and Skylar Vann’s 15 points off the bench.
In new seasons under head coach Jennie Barancyck, the Sooners have finished the nonconference portion of the schedule with just one loss each season. OU is a combined 22-2 over the two seasons prior to tipping off the Big 12 schedule.
The OU women open up Big 12 play on Saturday, Dec. 31 on the road at West Virginia.

- The Lady Sooners scored 46 points in the paint, compared to 26 points by Florida.
- Oklahoma converted 22 Florida turnovers into 21 points. The Sooners also scored 32 fast-break points.
- OU won the battle of the boards, pulling down 51 rebounds to 40 by the Lady Gators. Twenty of the Sooners’ 51 boards were of the offensive variety.
