Oklahoma football has officially signed the trifecta of Jackson Arnold, Jaquaize Pettaway, and Cayden Green. These players make up the core of the class on the offensive side of the ball and should be big-name players for the Sooners for years to come.

Five-Star QB Jackson Arnold

The Denton Guyer QB is as cool as the other side of the pillow. Shoutout to the late Stuart Scott! What a victory for the Sooners to snag the Elite 11 MVP and, in my estimation, the best QB in the entire cycle. According to just about everyone, Arnold has the best arm talent in the class, which will come in handy in Jeff Lebby’s veer-and-shoot scheme that has long thrown both horizontally and vertically at a consistent rate.

Four-Star OL Cayden Green

Cayden Green is a mountain of a man, who projects to play tackle for the Sooners. Though, knowing Bill Bedenbaugh, it would not be impossible that Green could one day move inside. The young man exhibits tremendous quickness and athleticism for a guy his size. He also has a massive wingspan, all the measurables bear out and seem to equate to elite talent.

Four-Star WR Jaquaize Pettaway

Speed kills. Oklahoma lacked elite speed at times from their wide receivers in 2022, no more in 2023. Pettaway is a great athlete who runs good routes and has tremendous upside. Good hands, is elusive and tough to tackle in a phone booth. He could add value in the return game as well.

Oklahoma’s offensive recruiting doesn’t skip a beat after the coaching transition.

The concept that Oklahoma would struggle to recruit on offense when Lincoln Riley left for USC, is a notion that was grossly exaggerated. The Sooners are still bringing in top-tier talent on the offensive side of the ball, and, importantly, five-star quarterbacks. With the offensive staff, the Sooners have, expect that to change very little over the years. b
