Oct. 29 @ Iowa State Cyclones

Iowa State is another team that Oklahoma has dominated all-time. Having said that, however, the two teams have split the last six games. The Sooners own a record of 78-7-2 all-time against the Cyclones, but in recent years the games have been one score affairs. The difference in the last five games has been seven points, 10 points, one point, seven points and seven points, with Oklahoma winning three times and Iowa State twice.

The Cyclones lost some key personnel on offense from a year ago, including quarterback Brock Purdy. As a result, the Iowa State offense has been inconsistent, averaging a Big 12-worst 22.9 points and 369.6 yards per game. The Cyclones counter that, however, with the best defense in the Big 12 and one of the best in the country, giving up just 15 points a game.

The question is: Can Dillon Gabriel and the Oklahoma offense score enough points on the road and against probably the best defense they will see this season to get out of Ames, Iowa, with a win. I believe the Sooners will but in another very close game.
