WR Xavier Worthy – Texas

One of the top returning receivers in the Big 12, Worthy finished third in the Big 12 last season in total receiving yards and led the Big 12 with 12 receiving touchdowns.

The Sooners had trouble covering Worthy in the 2021 Red River rivalry game, as the freshmen sensation bolted for 261 receiving yards, and had two touchdown catches. Despite all the fireworks, Oklahoma was able to pull off the biggest comeback in OU-Texas history, coming from 21 points behind to win 55-48.

We all know what Bijan Robinson gives Texas in the running game, but the Texas offensive line has some question marks, and will be very young. That’s why Worthy is the biggest threat for Oklahoma to key in on in the 2022 edition of the Red River Showdown.
