No 26. RB Samaje Perine

Here is what ESPN’s Connelly wrote OU’s Perine:

"26. RB Samaje Perine, Oklahoma (2014) The load-carrying feature back has become rarer in the 21st century, but that just makes the 245-pound Perine an old soul. He rushed 34 times for 242 yards against West Virginia, 25 for 213 against Texas Tech and, in his masterpiece, 34 for 427 and five TDs in a record-setting performance against Kansas. He finished the year with an incredible 1,713 yards and 21 scores."

Perine was one of the few spotlights in the 2014 Oklahoma football season. With the suspension of true freshmen Joe Mixon, Perine saw immediate playing time, and capitalized off it. The 5-foot,11-inch, 240-pound wrecking ball finished the 2014 season with 1,713 rushing yards on 263 carries and hit pay-dirt 21 times.
