Senior center fielder Tanner Tredaway/senior pitcher Trevin Michael

A redshirt-senior that finished his season on a high note, and an Oklahoma-born graduate student that became the Sooners closer.

Tanner Tredaway and Trevin Michael were the older bunch on the young Sooners 2022 team, and they were clutch on the biggest stages for OU.

Tredaway batted an astonishing .370, with 66 RBI’s and nine homers. In the winner-take-all Blacksburg Super Regional game, hehad 4 hits, 3 RBI, and 2 homers. It was simply one of the best performances from a Sooners position player in postseason history.

It took a while for Michael to find a spot in the Sooner’s pitching rotation, but when he did, he became OU’s shut-down guy. Michael led the Sooners with 10 saves and posted 95 strikeouts to only 20 walks. If you needed two strong innings to clinch a win, Michael was the guy.
