No. 16 — Austin Kendall
Austin Kendall only started one game in his career in Norman, and it came against Baylor in 2018. This was the game where Kyler Murray was punished for oversleeping and being late to a meeting earlier in the week. Murray’s punishment lasted one series, in which the Kendall-led Sooners were forced to punt. Murray threw a touchdown pass on his second play of the game after a muffed punt by the Bears and OU beat Baylor so bad (66-33) that Kendall came back in for mop-up duty late in the game.
Other than that, Kendall was a career backup as a Sooner before transferring to West Virginia before the 2019 season, and he transferred again to Louisiana Tech, where he played in 2021 and will play again in 2022.
