No. 10 — 2008 Oklahoma Sooners team

Record: 12-2 overall (7-1 Big 12)

Head Coach: Bob Stoops

The 2008 Oklahoma Sooners had one of the best offenses college football had ever seen at the time. The Sooners featured Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford, who would go on to become the first overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. This team was loaded with firepower and big names like Trent Williams, Gerald McCoy, Jermaine Gresham and DeMarco Murray.

An early-season loss against Texas couldn’t keep them down, and the Sooners famously bludgeoned opponents after that loss in their big rival in the Cotton Bowl. The most iconic of those beatdowns was the famous “Jump Around” game against Texas Tech. OU made it to the BCS National Championship Game but was beaten 24-14 by Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators. A ring is the only thing keeping the ’08 squad from jumping higher on this list.
