No. 3 — 2015, at Baylor, Oklahoma 44, Baylor 34

As hard as it is to believe today, Oklahoma came into this game having lost its last two games to Baylor, and had been spanked both times. Baylor had won the Big 12 championship two straight seasons at this point. Baylor was unbeaten at 8-0 and had the top-rated offense in the country.

Baylor was favored in the game, and OU had not won an outright Big 12 title since 2010. The Big 12 ran through Waco, Texas, at the time, and Oklahoma was searching for a chance to take control back.

All eyes were watching this primetime matchup, and Baylor had yet to lose in its newly constructed McLane Stadium. Well, that is until this night. Mayfield made one of the best throws I had ever seen, back pedaling and off his back foot he threw a dime to Sterling Shepard for a 39 yard score, the ball was in the air for about 46 yards.

It was rainy, and neither offense really had much traction early, and the weather created a missed PAT on both sides. With the score tied at 13 late in the first half, Mayfield managed to get it inside the 10-yard line with a toss to H-back Dimitri Flowers. He then scored on a keeper right after to get OU on top going into the break.

Then to open up the second half, Mayfield led a touchdown drive ending it with a pass to Shepard. OU would need this cushion, as the Bears had no plans to go quietly into the night. Finally, late into the fourth quarter, Baylor was able to cut the lead to 37-34. Just three points separated the two powerhouses.

It was 3rd down and goal at the seven-yard line. Mayfield took the snap, but nobody was open. He scrambled around, back pedaled, then ripped one to Flowers for a game-sealing touchdown, which put the game out of reach.
