Tim’s Projection: 4th Round Pick 

6 feet, 5 inches, 324 pounds

Hayes has the possibility of being an absolute steal for an NFL team looking to find an interior lineman. He has ideal size and body type to play guard at the next level, or even tackle in a pinch. He uses his length and strength to work over defenders.

Hayes is athletic enough to pull, works well in a zone scheme and has a real nasty streak in him. Some scouts are concerned that he isn’t technically sound enough, and his footwork issues could cause him to underperform to his potential. Hayes in another world could have possibly gone in the second day, but has some work to do, from a skills standpoint. If he ends up playing for a team with an excellent OL coach, he could develop into a perennial pro bowl caliber player.
