Oklahoma football: Six unforgettable Bedlam moments in Stillwater

As the 10th-ranked Oklahoma football Sooners prepare for a high-stakes Bedlam showdown, they find themselves as an extremely rare four-point underdog.
It’s the first time the Sooners enter Bedlam against in-state rival Oklahoma State as an underdog since 2017. It also might be the last time — at least for the foreseeable future — that Oklahoma plays a game at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.
The definition of “bedlam”: a scene of uproar and confusion. The Sooners and Cowboys meet for the 116th time and with both teams entering Saturday’s showdown ranked in the top 10 in the College Football Playoff rankings.
Oklahoma State comes into Saturday ranked No. 7 in the CFP rankings, three spots higher than Oklahoma. Despite the overwhelming 90-18-7 series advantage the Sooners have over the Cowboys, we’ve witnessed some iconic moments when these two rivals get together on the gridiron.
The lopsided series numbers don’t reflect the anticipation and emotion, as well as the heartbreak and agony, Bedlam has brought through the years. We’ve seen low-scoring affairs, shootouts, primetime games, and “College Gameday” appearances that have created a locking memory in the hearts and minds of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State fans.
