No.10 — Junior kicker Gabe Brkic

A Lou Groza Award semifinalist a year ago, Brkic was successful on 20 of 26 field goal attempts, the longest of which was 54 yards. The year before, as a freshman, he made all 17 of his field goal tries and 52 consecutive extra points.

While the high-scoring Oklahoma offense does not like to settle for field goals, a good placekicker can easily be the difference between winning and losing, and the Sooners are fortunate to have one of the best in the conference.

Brkic’s eight multi-field goal games in 2020 ranks second in single-season OU football history. He converted eight of 14 field-goal attempts of 40 yards or longer and was good on four field goals of at least 50 yards.
