Adrian Ealy (Loss)

Adrian Ealy was perhaps the most confusing of all early departures. He’s a big bodied lineman with a lot of upside as well as a two-time second-team all-Big12 selection. As is the theme with most of these players, one more year could have done wonders for him. He was a key piece of the puzzle for Bill Bedenbaugh’s offensive line, but he’s still raw and could use some extra time to improve his game.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Ealy would’ve been drafted, and possibly in a pretty good spot, if he would have waited for one more year. Instead, he was signed as free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. I’ll be rooting for Ealy, but I’ll always wonder what might have been if he would’ve remained patient.
