The Oklahoma basketball series with Oklahoma State dates back 114 years to 1908.

On Monday night in Stillwater, before a national television audience, as part of ESPN’s “Big Monday” broadcast, the Sooners and Cowboys will face each other for the 242nd time and the second time in three days.

Oklahoma owns a 140-101 record in the all-time series between the two in-state rivals, but Oklahoma State has prevailed the majority of the time the game has been played in Stillwater with a 64-47 all-time record.

Oklahoma State upset the Sooners on the road in Norman in overtime on Saturday, and on Monday night Oklahoma will be looking for a split in this year’s regular-season series and has won four of the last seven games played at OSU’s Gallagher-Iba Arena.

Since 2006, Oklahoma has swept the season basketball series with Oklahoma State seven times. That will not happen this season, but the Cowboys have the opportunity to record their second season sweep during that time with a win Monday night.

  • Oklahoma has won 13 of the last 20 games played against Oklahoma State.
  • The Sooners 140 wins in the all-time Bedlam series is their most against any opponent.
