Three shutouts, three run-rule victories and a pair of no-hitters. Just another weekend at the office for the No. 2-ranked Oklahoma softball team.
One of the Sooners five wins over the weekend was a 5-3 victory on Friday over No. 11 Arizona State. Freshman second baseman Tiare Jennings got the OU scoring started with a two-run home run in the fourth inning, giving the Sooners a 2-1 lead. A pair of seventh-inning long balls by seniors Nicole Mendez and Jocelyn Alo closed out the scoring and the victory for Oklahoma.

The scene shifted from Tempe, Arizona, to Phoenix on Saturday and Sunday.

The Sooners ended the weekend with an 8-0 perfect game against Portland State. Jaurez got the win, her fifth of the season, going the first two innings and striking out two before giving way to Nicole May and Brooke Vestal, who went the final three innings. The three OU pitchers faced the minimum number of 15 batters, striking out five and not allowing a hit or a walk.
