The Oklahoma football program has delivered many NFL greats into the professional ranks, and this year was a clear sign that trend will continue.

Many Sooner fans will be quick to point out the talent that now graces NFL rosters went from Crimson and Cream on Saturdays, to their NFL colors on Sundays.

Many look to Adrian Peterson in terms of the most recent of the former Sooners at the NFL level to achieve the greatest success, but in truth there have been a number of Oklahoma players who have achieved success at the next level.

Whether they are younger guys or veterans, former Sooners are making their presence known in the NFL on offense, defense, and even special teams. Oklahoma will look to add even more talent as the years go on, and potentially we will see more former Sooners go from Norman, all the way to Canton to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The players in the group of five that follows have the potential to get there as their careers continue and grow.

It is important to note that there are more than five Sooners who had highly productive years in the NFL this past season, but these are the five who truly stood out among the rest.
