The more things change the more they stay the same. Especially when you’re talking about the Oklahoma football rivalry with Oklahoma State.

On Saturday, before a downsized but vocal home crowd and a primetime national television audience, did what they generally have done in 115 meetings with in-state rival Oklahoma State: Win.

The Sooners didn’t just win this game, they took control from the very start, taking a 21-0 lead in the first nine minutes and cruising to a decisive 41-13 victory over the 14th ranked Cowboys.

It was Oklahoma’s sixth straight win in the rivalry series known as Bedlam, and the 16th in the last 18 games. The Sooners improved their overall record against Oklahoma State to 90-18-7. That is the most wins OU has against any opponent.

Here are a dozen other compelling numbers that help tell the story of the game:

2 — Wide receiver Theo Wease has two touchdown catches for the Sooners, his first two of the season.

4 — Saturday night was the fourth time the Sooners have scored 21 points in the first quarter against Oklahoma State and the first since 1988.
