The biggest Oklahoma football game of the 2020 season is the next one on the schedule, and it is set for a primetime national TV audience.

The Big 12 on Monday announced times and network assignments for games on Nov. 21. The marquee game in the Big 12 on that date will be Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. And this season, the outcome of that rivalry game is likely to determine who is in and who’s out of the Big 12 championship race.

Game time for Bedlam is set for 6:30 p.m. CT at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman. The game will be televised on ABC.

The Oklahoma-Oklahoma State rivalry series dates back to 1904. The Sooners have dominated the all-time series with a record of 89-18-7. The Sooners have won 15 of the last 17 games in this in-state rivalry series. Those 89 wins are the most by Oklahoma against any opponent.

The Sooners are 5-0 against Oklahoma State during the time Lincoln Riley has been part of the OU coaching staff. Current Oklahoma State is 2-13 against the Sooners in the 15 seasons that Mike Gundy has been head coach.

Gundy was also an assistant at Oklahoma State for 10 seasons before being named head coach. The Cowboys were 3-6-1 against the Sooners during that time. In addition, Gundy played for the Cowboys as the starting quarterback between 1986-89. The Sooners were 4-0 against Gundy as a player.

All-told, OSU’s Gundy (who also happens to be the older brother of co-offensive coordinator and inside receivers coach Cale Gundy) has been associated in one way or another with 29 games between the Sooners and Cowboys. Oklahoma State’s record against OU over that time is a horrific 5-23-1.

Not that that should influence the outcome of this year’s Bedlam matchup. But it should leave Sooner fans with a comfortable feeling.
