WR Charleston Rambo will become Sooners’ next dynamic receiver

Sterling Shepard, Dede Westbrook, “Hollywood” Brown and CeeDee Lamb — all had outstanding junior and senior seasons for Oklahoma and are now in the NFL.

The Sooners’ next great wide receiver and electric downfield threat will be redshirt junior Charleston Rambo, who showed his sophomore season, although overshadowed by CeeDee Lamb, that he has the speed, ability to get open and good hands to become an outstanding receiver.

Look for Rambo, barring injury or illness, to double his receptions (he had 43 last season) and approach 1,000 receiving yards this season. And in coming seasons, OU has several other future stars at the position waiting in the wings, including sophomore Jaden Hasselwood, a former five-star prospect who is recovering from an ACL injury this season, and Marvin Mims, a true freshman, who set a Texas high school record for career receiving yards.
