7. Team with the DNA of a winner

Oklahoma has 908 all-time wins, which is tied with Notre Dame for the sixth most in college football history. Since the end of World War II, though, no team has more wins than the 664 by the Sooners.

In addition, Oklahoma leads the nation with 40 10-win seasons and 26 with at least 11 wins. Lincoln Riley has won 12 games in each of his three seasons as the Sooners head coach, the best three-year start ever by an Oklahoma coach, and they’ve had some great ones.

The Sooners own three of the nine longest winning streaks in college football history, including the NCAA-record 47-game winning streak set between 1953 and 1957.

When you win as many games as Oklahoma has in its superlative history, you’re going to win a lot of conference championships as well. The Sooners’ 49 conference championships are the most among Power Five teams.

Since 2000, Oklahoma has more Big 12 titles (13) than it has home losses (10)

If this isn’t the measure of a proven winner, nothing is.
