Oklahoma football: Nine reasons Caleb Williams made right choice in OU

10. Traditionally one of college football’s best offensive lines
A big reason the Sooners’ offense is generally so good is because of an exceptional offensive line.
The big guys upfront typically don’t get the credit they deserve, but Lincoln Riley and offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh both know that without strong offensive line play even the most-talented players at the skill positions will struggle.
Two years ago, with Kyler Murray at quarterback, the OU offensive line won the Joe Moore Award as the best offensive line in college football, beating out equally outstanding O-lines at Alabama and Georgia for the honor. Last season, the Sooners introduced four new offensive-line starters who teamed up with All-American Creed Humphrey, and all five are back in 2020 as part of what is again expected to be one of the best offensive lines in college football.
The Sooners also have depth at this position because of Bedenbaugh’s recruiting effort, which speaks well for the immediate future when Caleb Williams joins the roster.
