No. 3 2017 Oklahoma vs. No. 6 2018 Oklahoma

This matchup between these two explosive Oklahoma offensive teams played out pretty much as expected, with plenty of points and oodles of offense. In a classic matchup of Heisman quarterbacks, Baker Mayfield’s 2017 Sooners defeated Kyler Murray and the 2018 Sooners in a 60-46 shootout.

The highlight in this high-octane showdown was the battle between the quarterbacks. Mayfield completed 27 of 32 pass attempts for 385 yards and four touchdowns. Murray was 24 of 32 passing for 400 yards and six touchdown, three of which were to CeeDee Lamb. Lamb had just four catches in the game, but three of them were for touchdowns.

Abdul Adams of the 2017 Sooners led all rushers with 98 yards on nine carries, including three touchdowns of his own. Rodney Anderson added another 86 yards on the ground and a touchdown, contributing to a total of 201 rushing yards by the 2017 team.

Kennedy Brooks had 66 rushing yards for the 2018 Sooners.
