Oklahoma football: Four who missed out the most on spring practice
By Chip Rouse
Jadon Hasselwood
Some experts thought Jadon Hasselwood would make an immediate impact in his freshman season. He did see action in 13 of Oklahoma’s 14 games last season, but was only in for one or two series in most of those games. The Georgia native was the No. 1 overall wide receiver in the 2019 recruiting class and came to the Sooners along with two other five-star receiving prospects.
He caught 19 passes for 272 yards and one touchdown. His best game was against Texas Tech in late September, when he made six receptions for 59 yards.
With the departure of three of the Sooners’ top four receivers from last season, including All-American CeeDee Lamb, Hasselwood is going to be counted on to step up and fill the void. The spring practice season would have provided a good preview of his readiness to do so.
