Oklahoma football will be without the services of Ronnie Perkins, Rhomondre Stevenson and Trejan Bridges for the upcoming Chic-Fil-A Peach Bowl against LSU on Dec. 28.

The Oklahoma football head coach recently confirmed the reports that have been circulating in the media for the past week, saying Perkins, Stevenson and Bridges will not participate in the upcoming national seminfinal in Atlanta.

Perkins appears to be the biggest loss for the Sooners. He has emerged as a star over the past few games with 38 tackles, 13.5 for loss and six sacks on the season.

Stevenson has become a staple in the OU backfield through the season, particularly since the loss of Tre Sermon to a season-ending injury. He has rushed for 515 yards and six touchdowns including the game-winner in overtime against Baylor in the Big 12 Championship Game.

T.J. Pledger will likely be asked to fill in with some carries for the Sooner run game. The true sophomore has 179 yards on 30 carries so far this season.

More from Oklahoma Sooners

Bridges has played the least of the trio of players, but has been a fixture on special teams and even played some snaps on defense this season.

The Sooners are in their third-straight College Football Playoff and fourth in five years, but have yet to win a game in the tournament. The Tigers are in their first CFP as a team but earned the No. 1 seed after a dominating undefeated regular season that included an SEC title and a win over Texas in the non-conference portion of the season.

Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday.
