2010 — Oklahoma 23, Nebraska 20
Longtime conference rivals Oklahoma and Nebraska met in what would be the final Big 12 Championship game until the 2017 season. With Nebraska leaving the Big 12 for the Big Ten the following season, this also would be the last scheduled game between OU and Nebraska until the 2021-2022 seasons.
The No. 13 Cornhuskers jumped on the 10th-ranked Sooners early and led 10-0 after the first quarter. Nebraska increased the margin to 17-0 early in the second quarter.
Oklahoma scored 17 unanswered points in the second quarter to tie the score, but a 42-yard field goal by Nebraska gave the Huskers a 20-17 advantage at halftime.
The two defenses took over in the second half. Oklahoma added a 20-yard field goal by Jimmy Stevens in the third quarter to draw the Sooners even with Nebraska at 20-all. Stevens kicked his third field goal of the game midway through the final quarter, a 27-yarder, which turned out to be game winner as the Sooners prevailed in a 23-20 comeback victory, securing Bob Stoops’ seventh Big 12 championship.
Landry Jones threw for 342 yards and a touchdown and DeMarco Murray accounted for 128 yards from scrimmage (68 rushing and 60 passing) and a touchdown in the Oklahoma win.
