Oklahoma football: Sooners a regular fixture in Big 12 title game

Oklahoma and Missouri were matched up in the 2007 Big 12 Championship. The Sooners had defeated the Tigers 43-31 in a game in Norman during the regular season, OU was ranked No. 6 at the time that game was played in mid-October, Missouri was ranked 11th in the country.
A 36-28 win over rival No. 2 Kansas in the regular-season finale vaulted No. 3 Missouri into top spot in the national rankings and sent them to the Big 12 Championship to face the Sooners, who, having lost twice during the regular season, were ranked ninth and responsible for the Tigers only loss of the season.
The two teams battled to a 14-14 draw at the intermission, but the Tigers were buried in a tidal wave in the second half as the Sooners outscored Missouri 24-3 after intermission to win going away, 38-17. Sam Bradford passed for 209 yards and two touchdowns and running backs Chris Brown and Allen Patrick combined for 159 rushing yards and three touchdowns as the Sooners completed the two-game sweep of the Tigers in 2007 on their way to a fifth Big 12 championship under Bob Stoops.
