Missouri at Georgia 6 p.m.

Who to root for: Missouri. Remember a year ago when ESPN talking heads made a late push to get a two-loss, non-conference champion Georgia into the CFP after the champinoship game loss to Alabama?

Well, those pesky Bulldogs are still in the conversation for the College Football Playoff and currently sit as the top one-loss team despite having hands down the worst loss of any contender to South Carolina.

The committee and the media all seem to love this team so the best bet for the Sooners is for them to exit the equation as soon as possible. Plus, any time Missouri still has Big 12 DNA, so rooting for the Tigers against an SEC team usually isn’t hard to do.

Yes, we are aware you probably won’t be watching this game all the way through as the Sooners kick off an hour later, but maybe keep an eye on the scrolling scores on the bottom.

Notre Dame at Duke

Who to root for: Duke. This one doesn’t matter all that much to the Sooners, as the Fighting Irish are persona non grata in the CFP race after getting blown out by Michigan. However, a Notre Dame loss would actually benefit the Sooners indirectly.

The College Football Playoff committee specifically named Georgia’s win over Notre Dame as the reason the Bulldogs were in the front of the one-loss team pack right now. A Blue Devil upset, however unlikely, would probably push the Fighting Irish to the brink of being unranked going into next weekend and hurt the Bulldogs’ argument.

This one kicks off just 30 minutes before the Sooners and Iowa State and it’s one of the longshots so don’t invest more than a quick look at the score during halftime to it.
