Penn State at Minnesota 11 a.m.

Team to root for: Minnesota. One would think pulling for the Golden Gophers would be the right call here. Penn State is currently nesting inside the top four in the CFP and a win over Minnesota would increase the chances the committee would have of perhaps putting a one-loss Nittany Lions team should it fall narrowly later in the year to Ohio State.

Of course, a Golden Gophers win also presents the possibility of another Big 10 team leap frogging Oklahoma in the short run, but that will likely work itself out down the stretch as Minnesota would still have a likely date with Ohio State in the conference title game should they manage to pull off the home upset.

Also, this might be the best early game on TV with two legit CFP hopefuls kicking off before noon. You need to watch something after ESPN College GameDay anyway, right?
