By Chip Rouse
Just another day at the office for Jalen Hurts. The Sooner quarterback accounting for five touchdowns on Saturday in leading the Oklahoma football team to a 52-14 victory over the visitors from West Virginia.
Hurts completed 16 of 17 passes for 316 yards and rushed for 75 more, producing 391 of OU’s 560 total yards as the No. 5-ranked Sooners improved to 7-0 on the season and a perfect 4-0 in Big 12 play.
The Sooners have now beaten West Virginia (3-4, 1-3) eight straight times and have never lost to the Mountaineers as members of the Big 12. Oklahoma is the only Big 12 team West Virginia has not beaten since the Mountaineers joined the Big 12 in 2012.
