Jalen Hurts will coast to another great game, and he’ll seem just as unhappy as always afterword

Sorry to jump in on the rat poison bandwagon, but Jalen Hurts is putting up historic numbers for the Sooners so far this year.

There are some people who have correctly expressed some caution when it comes to his Heisman campaign, as we should all wait to see him get tested by some talented defenses.

Unfortunately for those who are impatient to see what that looks like, it won’t come this week.

Hurts should have no problem slicing and dicing his way through a Kansas defense that is overmatched at nearly every position. The Sooner receivers are too good to be covered one on one by anyone in a blue uniform.

The only thing limiting the number of yards Hurts will put up will be how long he’s allowed to stay in the game as Oklahoma pulls away from Kansas in the second half.

We’ll probably get to see some Tanner Mordecai as he tries to overcome a spotty performance in relief of Hurts last week.

After playing no more than three quarters a frustrated Hurts will hit the weight room upon his return to Norman to try and sweat out all the rat poison he accidentally ingested during a complimentary postgame interview session.

In all seriousness, Hurts is the perfect leader for a team that has played the schedule the Sooners have so far this year. He’s keeping the squad grounded and focused on what will be much tougher challenges ahead.
