Oklahoma football turns its attention to Big 12 opponents on Saturday, which 94 percent of the time since the 2015 season has resulted in a Sooner victory.

The No. 4-ranked Sooners (Coaches Poll) host Texas Tech at Gaylord Family — Oklahoma Memorial Stadium on Saturday. OU owns a seven-game winning streak against the Red Raiders and has won eight of the last 10 meetings between the two teams.

The last time Texas Tech beat Oklahoma was in Norman, a 41-38 win in 2011 that knocked the then-No. 3 Sooners from the unbeaten ranks.

In the seven-game winning streak over the Red Raiders, OU has averaged 50.0 points a game, 599.1 total yards and 307.7 rushing yards.

Here are some other noteworthy numbers to ponder in advance of Saturday’s Big 12 opener for both teams:

6 — Oklahoma has won six consecutive Big 12 openers. The last time the Sooners lost a Big 12 opener was a 24-19 home loss to Kansas State in 2012.

10.5 — Yards per play by the Oklahoma offense this season, the best in the nation and what would be a new NCAA record.

13 — Touchdowns accounted for by Sooner starting quarterback Jalen Hurts through three games. That is one more than the number of incompleted passes he’s thrown.

20-1 — Head coach Lincoln Riley’s record against unranked teams.

34 of 36 — Oklahoma has won 34 of its last 36 games against Big 12 opponents.

34 — OU has scored at least 34 points in 13 straight games and in 24 of the last 25.

37.6 — Oklahoma has gained 10 or more yards on 37.6 percent of their offensive plays this season.

38 — The Sooners have outscored their opponents 38-0 in the first quarter this season and 85-17 in the first half.

300 — The Sooners have rushed for more than 300 yards in a game and passed for 300 or more yards in the same game 14 times in their 125-year history. Eight of those times have come in the last 17 games.

899 – All-time OU football wins. The next one will be No. 900, a level achieve by only five other schools in college football history. Since the end of World War II, Oklahoma has won 655 games, the most of any college team.
