Penalties have been big problem

The Sooners have hurt themselves with too many undisciplined penalties in the first three games. Several have negated big offensive plays, but the most damaging were those that extended offensive possessions for the opponents. Oklahoma has been flagged 24 times for 259 yards. That’s an average of eight times a game for 86 yards. Too many of these penalties have been personal fouls, which are costly in terms of penalty yards and mostly unnecessary.
