Charlie Brewer, Baylor

Brewer went to the same high school as Baker Mayfield and might just be the best pure passer in the Big 12 in 2019 He threw for 3,019 yards, 19 touchdowns and only nine interceptions last year. Even worse news for opposing defenses, he only seemed to get better as the season went along last season with back-to-back 300-yard performances to close out 2018.

Brewer went 38-of-60 for 400 yards and two touchdowns in last year’s game against Oklahoma and with another year in Matt Rhule’s system, both he and the entire Baylor team are a real threat to the Sooners if not taken 100 percent serious, especially with the game taking place in Waco.

Though he isn’t known for his running, Brewer can beat you with his feet if that’s what he needs to do. Just ask Vanderbilt, which gave up 109 yards and a score on the ground to the deceptively quarterback.

Brewer gets a slight nod over Brock Purdy because when he’s on – like he was against Oklahoma last season – he’s probably a hair tougher to stop, but really No. 3 and No. 4 are interchangeable.
