Neville Gallimore – senior defensive tackle – Outland

The senior from Canada came to Oklahoma with some hype thanks to his massive upside. Head coach Lincoln Riley is on record saying Gallimore can run a legit 4.7 40-yard dash. He also benches 500, squats 800 and power cleans over 400 pounds according to an article by The Athletic. Gallimore is expected to do big things this year in the Sooners’ new scheme after dropping 15 pounds in the offseason.

Handicapping his chances: Gallimore is in the right position to win the Outland as a defensive tackle, but he’ll have to up his game considerably in his final season. The previous two players to win the award were Quinnen Williams of Alabama and Ed Oliver of Houston. Both of those players are game-changers on every single snap.

Most expect an uptick in production from Gallimore in his final season at Oklahoma, but to become the most disruptive player on the field in his senior year would take a major jump. Still, it isn’t completely out of the realm of possibility.
