If you draw a timeline of the final four quarterbacks on this list, Landry Jones would fall smack dab in the middle of it. That’s an unfortunate spot for the four-year starter. He unfortunately draws comparisons to three Heisman winners and a national championship-winning quarterback.
At at least 70 percent of FBS schools Jones would be considered the best quarterback in school history. He owns OU records for several categories including career passing yards (16,646) and career passing touchdowns (123).
Jones also had a stellar record against the Sooners’ biggest rival Texas and is the only quarterback on this list to go 3-0 versus the Longhorns as a starter.

Was Jones as good as good as the guys ahead of him on this list? No. But Jones’ legacy at Oklahoma is a positive one.
