These ladies are really, really good…believe it!

You don’t win 49 of 51 games, including 39 in a row and counting, unless you are really good, and this Oklahoma softball team is definitely the real deal.

The fact that the Sooners lead all of NCAA Division I softball in multiple statistical categories speaks for itself. OU isn’t just winning games. Most of the Sooners’ wins this season have been in dominant fashion. Twenty-three have been by shutout, and the same number have ended early with OU ahead by eight or more runs after five innings (known as the run rule in softball).

Oklahoma has played a total of 106 games in the last two seasons and lost just seven times. That’s not an accident. That’s talent personified and is why the Sooners are one of the elite teams in college softball today, and have been for most of the past quarter century.
