Arkansas

Team prestige: 7/10

Teams marketability: 7/10

Teams location: 10/10

Teams recruiting grounds: 4/10

Total: 28-40

Like Nebraska, Arkansas’s recent hires in both football and basketball shows a glimpse of hope that they’re on the right path. They hired former Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris to be the teams head coach, and they just recently hired coaching journeyman Eric Musselman to be the basketball coach. Musselman has been an NBA assistant coach for multiple teams in the past, and most recently was a head coach for Nevada having a successful stint there.

I believe Arkansas makes sense for both sides, as Arkansas has a history with Big 12 teams, and fits in perfectly geographically. Arkansas, just like Nebraska in my opinion would benefit in a change of scenery. Why continue to be a bottom dweller in your conference, when you can come to a conference like the Big 12 and have a fresh start and a chance to be competitive again?

I listed the idea of Nebraska and Iowa coming to the Big 12 last slide, and mentioned how even though Iowa was a cool idea it was very unlikely to happen. Something that could happen however? The Big 12 bringing in two schools that due to recent troubles could be looking for a change of scenery in Nebraska and Arkansas both.

The plan to bring in Arkansas, or both Nebraska and Arkansas even probably wont happen, as both teams are probably content with their current situations, even with their schools brands going down hill. Like I said, money talks.
