Michigan | 2025 (home) | 2026 (away)

All-time series record: Oklahoma leads 1-0
Last meeting: 1976 – Oklahoma 14, Michigan 6 *1976 Orange Bowl

Any respectable list of college football bluebloods would have to include both the Sooners and Wolverines. Both programs rank in the top 10 in nearly every major category all-time wins (Oklahoma No. 7; Michigan No. 1), all-time winning percentage (Oklahoma No. 6; Michigan No. 1), conference championships (Oklahoma No. 1; Michigan No. 3), claimed national championships (Oklahoma No. 7; Michigan No. 2), Heisman winners (Oklahoma No. 1; Michigan No. 5) and weeks ranked in the AP Poll (Oklahoma No. 3; Michigan No. 2) among others.

The two teams’ only meeting should be another memorable one for the Sooners as Barry Switzer took home his first national championship in a 14-6 victory over Bo Schembechler’s Wolverines. Should both teams manage to hold on to their high-profile coaches, it would mean the meeting of two of the most high-profile personalities in college football in Lincoln Riley and John Harbaugh. Road trip wise, the thought of the Crimson and Cream storming the field to Boomer Sooner in front of 100,000 fans in the Big House in Michigan is enough to raise the hairs on the back of just about any fan’s neck.

Alabama | 2032 (home) | 2033 (away)

All-time series record: Oklahoma leads 3-2-1
Last meeting: 2018 – Alabama 45, Oklahoma 34 *2018 Orange Bowl & College Football Playoff semifinal

1,801 wins, 24 national championships, 79 conference titles, 219 weeks ranks No. 1 in the AP Poll and 175 consensus All Americans between them, these are the best two programs of the modern era by most quantifiable measurements and no matter how far away this scheduled home-and-home series may be, it’s still going to matter.

Oklahoma and Alabama have enjoyed some historic meetings including a 17-0 win by Joe Namath and Paul “Bear” Bryant over Bud Wilkinson’s troops, a thrilling Sooner win over the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa in 2003, a shocking upset victory for the Sooners in the 2014 Sugar Bowl and of course the most recent Crimson Tide win in the 2018 College Football Playoff semifinal. Sure, Jalen Hurts will be in his 30s by the time this game is played, but his recent transfer just adds another layer of shared history between these two proud programs. There’s no doubt that Tuscaloosa will be a heck of a trip for Sooner fans and the Crimson Tide coming to Norman will be another great event. One does have to wonder though, how many more times will these two teams – both College Football Playoff regulars – meet up in the postseason between now and then?
