College football’s scheduling is weird. While many sports generate new schedules year by year, Power Five NCAA programs meticulously plan out future non-conference opponents more than a decade in advance in some cases.

Oklahoma recently announced several future non-conference opponents, some all the way out to 2035 where players who will play in that game are currently as young as two years old. Obviously that makes it impossible to gauge what kind of matchup we will see in the future, but looking at the school’s combined history, past meetings and current trajectory, we compiled a ranking of every future major Power Five home-and-home series currently on the schedule.

Note: The criteria calls for a home and away game in the future so we didn’t’ include series that have yet to be completed like UCLA and Army.

Tulane | 2021 (away) | 2024 (away)

All-time series record: Oklahoma leads 1-0
Last meeting: 2017 – Oklahoma 56, Tulane 14

Technically not a true home-and-home as these two teams are finishing up the last two games of a two-for-one deal, but included on this list as the series features both a home and away game.

On the field this certainly looks like a mismatch. The last meeting was relegated to pay-per-view and these games would likely be candidates for that designation as well if both programs continue on their current trajectory. The only real intrigue for Oklahoma fans will come with a 2021 trip to New Orleans and some valuable exposure for the program in the heart of SEC country.
