House Greyjoy: Texas Tech

A crazy group of pirates who are capable of winning an individual battle against any other house, the Grejoys are at their best when they are fighting on their own terms. Any team that has ever found itself in a Saturday night shootout on Lubbock will tell that Texas Tech is pretty similar.

Anyone who has ever made the drive out to the home of Texas Tech will also tell you that it is so far away from everything, it might as well be in the middle of the ocean.

Dothracki: West Virginia

A wild hoard that came from the Far East, the Dothracki have invaded Westeros with their strange customs and fierce battle strategy. That’s a pretty accurate description of West Virginia’s foray into the Big 12 Conference over the past years.

The rest of the league may not understand their strange customs (really, who burns a couch?), but they are certainly learning to respect the program’s ability to challenge all comers as the Mountaineers have beaten nine of the 10 Big 12 programs since starting in the league.
