We all know the story by now, right? 11 months after getting benched for a slow start against the very same team in the National Championship game, Hurts inherits a seven-point deficit after Tua goes down with an injury. 2018 – 10-yard touchdown pass to Jerry Jeudy vs. Georgia

Third and goal from the 10-yard line against a good defense is just about as tough a situation as you can put a quarterback in. You have to go 10 yards, the other team knows it and you cant stretch them out deep to get it done. Hurts took a shotgun snap progressed through all of his reads and saw blanket coverage across the field. As the play progressed the field opened up to his right, giving him a clear angle with nothing but green grass between him and the end zone, but Hurts had other plans, directing traffic as Jeudy broke off his route and came streaking toward the sideline. Hurts made poised, accurate and powerful throw on the run and found a tight window to score the touchdown and tie the game at 28-28. A few minutes later he would break free on a quarterback draw to give Alabama the lead, the SEC Championship and cement himself as a Crimson Tide legend for all time.
