Marquise Brown

Another Oklahoma football star who is coming off an injury, Brown could very well be the fastest player in the entire 2019 NFL draft class. After back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Sooners, Brown has drawn some first-round grades from potential scouts, and anything he can do test-wise to improve his stock could very well push him off the bubble and solidify his first-round status.

The question is what, if anything, will he be healthy enough to do at the combine.

Cody Ford

The highest-rated draft prospect on the OU offensive line, Ford is still teetering between guard and tackle on a lot of NFL draft boards. Though the 6-foot-3, 329-pound standout impressed in a lot of categories at the combine, he left a lot to be desired when it came to the bench press test.

The potential first rounder only managed 15 reps at 225 pounds, last among Sooners who participated in the drill at the combine, though he did cite a tweaked shoulder as part of the problem.

One would think after Orlando Brown’s struggles in the same drill and subsequent standout season with the Baltimore Ravens that scouts would be more focused on his excellent film than a test score, but still it’s a number that a few scouts will have stuck in their head when they place Ford on their board. He’ll have a chance to redeem that number on his home turf Wednesday in Norman.
