No. 10 pick Denver Broncos

Why it could happen? The Broncos have been trying to find their franchise quarterback ever since Peyton Manning retired. General manager John Eway has gone through the likes of Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch, and Case Keenum.

They passed on all the guys in the quarterback-heavy rookie class of a year ago and may not be able to resist going after one this time around. They also have a solid supporting cast with Cortland Sutton, Royce Freeman and Emmanuel Sanders at the skill positions.

The case against it: The Broncos just went out and picked up Joe Flacco to lead their offense. Elway has proven in the past that he likes to take veteran quarterbacks rather than develop homegrown talent at the position.

That could all be about to change, of course. And wouldn’t it be a little eery to see Flacco lose his job to yet another young, dynamic and mobile quarterback?

No. 11 pick Cincinnati Bengals

Why it could happen? The AFC North arms race may be making a run on young quarterbacks as both Cleveland and Baltimore appear to have shored up their spots under center for years to come after last year’s draft. Could this mean a ticking clock for a guy like Andy Dalton, who has been above average, but never quite good enough to lead the Bengals where they want to go. Murray could become a quarterback-in-waiting, learning behind the experience veteran.

Like most of these other prospective teams the Bengals have another OU connection in running back Joe Mixon. And imagine the fun of seeing Murray go up against Baker Mayfield twice a year of the foreseeable future.

The case against it: As stated above, the Bengals appear to be committed to Dalton for the foreseeable future. Also, like most teams with high draft picks there are plenty of other needs for Cincinnati to address, particularly on the offensive line (could they take another Sooner in Cody Ford?).
