No. 24 – John Humphrey | wide receiver | Original rank: No. 19

The speedy 6-foot-1 League City, Texas product had a fast start, becoming the the Sooners 2015 offensive scout team player of the year, but transferred to Arizona State in 2016. He sat out the mandatory one-year period according to NCAA rules and appeared in 10 games in 2017. Humphrey seemed to be in line to take a starting receiver spot going into the 2018 season, but tore his Achilles before the start of spring football, missing the entire season. Grade: Bust

No. 23 – Gabriel Campbell | defensive end | Original rank: No. 16

Campbell struggled with injuries, particularly concussions during his career at Oklahoma. He played on the scout team in 2015, was a backup in 2016 and retired from the game in the spring of 2017. Grade: Bust

No. 22 – Dalton Wood | athlete | Original rank: No. 23

The case of Dalton Wood was a curious one. A late, unheralded addition from running backs coach Jay Bulware, Wood left the program in 2016, then returned as a walk on before leaving for good going into the 2018 season. Wood was likely set to spend time in the H-back role like a Dimitri Flowers-type, but never could quite find his way onto the field for the Sooners.Grade: Bust

No. 21 – Jamal Danley | offensive lineman | Original rank: No. 9

It’s a what-might-have been story for Danley, ranked the No. 1 JUCO guard in the country in the class of 2015. He came to Oklahoma from East Mississippi Community College (of Last Chance U fame) and looked ready to compete with Cody Ford for the starting right guard job going into 2016 before being force to retire due to concussions.
